A Marietta homeowner sought to replace their cramped, inefficient master bathroom with a space that offered both luxury and practicality. The existing layout featured a bulky corner tub, minimal storage, poor lighting, and a shower that felt more utilitarian than relaxing. Vista Building was engaged to completely reimagine the space. Our design-build team developed a plan that eliminated wasted square footage, improved traffic flow, and introduced spa-quality finishes throughout. The result is a bright, spacious retreat where the homeowner can begin and end each day with a sense of calm and rejuvenation.
The centerpiece of this renovation is a generously sized walk-in shower designed for ultimate relaxation. A rain shower head paired with a handheld wand offers versatility, while a built-in bench provides comfortable seating. Floor-to-ceiling porcelain tile creates a seamless, easy-to-clean surface that enhances the spa aesthetic. A frameless glass enclosure maintains an open, airy feel. Steam functionality transforms the shower into a therapeutic experience, soothing muscles and clearing the mind. This carefully curated space elevates the daily shower routine from a chore to a cherished moment of self-care.
Clutter has no place in this serene retreat. Custom cabinetry maximizes every inch of available space, with deep drawers for linens and pull-out organizers for toiletries. A tall linen tower provides vertical storage that was previously nonexistent. The floating vanity not only adds contemporary style but also keeps the floor clear, making the space feel larger and easier to clean. Recessed medicine cabinets offer additional storage without protruding into the room. These thoughtful storage solutions ensure that everything has its place, allowing the beauty of the design to take center stage.
Lighting and material selections work in harmony to create the desired spa-like atmosphere. Layered lighting includes dimmable overhead fixtures, wall sconces flanking the mirror, and under-cabinet illumination for subtle nighttime guidance. A neutral palette of soft grays and warm whites promotes tranquility, while brushed nickel fixtures add understated elegance. Heated flooring provides comfort underfoot—a welcome luxury during cooler months. Large-format tile with minimal grout lines creates a clean, continuous surface that feels both modern and timeless. Together, these elements transform a functional space into a true sanctuary.
